How the Increased Power and Throttle Response is achieved
The bespoke large surface area, high flow air filter alters the direction of the airflow towards the outer walls of the velocity stack shaped intake tube.
The inlet tube is a one-piece design which eliminates the flexi hosing and attaches directly to the turbo inlet pipe giving a perfectly smooth internal wall transition.
This therefore creates a smoother and less restrictive air flow allowing which in turn reduces the load on the engine and allows for a larger airflow to the turbo's.

The overall effect is a vastly improved driving experience with faster throttle response, a sophisticated V8 turbo induction sound under both medium to heavy throttle openings.
The faster throttle response will naturally give the impression of more quickly available torque at lower engine speeds also and due to the shape of the inlet tubes allows the turbo's to spool up faster.

The majority of intake systems on the market are open designs which allow high temperature engine bay air to enter the intake system.  
This has has a two tier negative effect:
The most understood effect is that the hotter engine bay air is less dense in oxygen which naturally produces less power.
The second effect is less well understood.  The ECU detects the higher temperature air through the intake air temperarture sensor located inside the MAF sensor.  The compenstion tables will reduce ignition timing which has a drastic effect on power output.  

The Infinity Design lower air filter / Inlet Air Ducts housings have been meticulously designed to allow for maximum air flow and fit directly to the large factory air inlet ducts.

The factory OEM intake is NOT sealed with an opening at the wheel arch liner.
We have moved the opening towards the front of the engine bay and integrated it with the OEM inlet feed.  Combined with the frontal scoops, this ensures maximum ambient air is taken in by the system and straight into the turbos.
